last week we had our first group crit of the project and since we had only had a week for the project it was the first time that we had seen anyone else's work properly and heard what people were doing. i had started researching and drawing the puppet man who is very famous in norwich. he stand outside Primark and sings along with a karaoke machine holding puppets on his hands. he is very notorious. i hadn't done much though i must admit. Grainne was worried that people wouldn't know who it is or how it relates to norwich. this was difficult for me to accept really because i had already had one idea, about laundry, and then Jill had been really confused by how it related to norwich and it started to confuse me so i started looking at the puppet man who to me is norwich like he represents it pretty perfectly and he is really iconic. I think most people though will know who he is because he is so recognisable by his hats glasses and puppets obviously. i think the easiest way to make the connection more obvious is if i use maps in the background, but that seem too straight forward.
